Firefox Qt search engine fix 2007-12-18

I recently stumbled upon the Firefox search engine add-on “Qt” which lets you search doc.trolltech.com. I gave it a try… it’s broken. Good thing is fixing it was very easy. Here is a fixed version for download plus a direct activation link:

Add Qt search engine

Just put a “link”-tag to your blog’s header so that IE7, Firefox and Opera will offer to add your search by clicking the search engine list:

<link rel=”search” type=”application/opensearchdescription+xml” title=”Your Search Name” href=”http://your.domain.com/search.xml” />

Set the path and name of your XML file.

Check it out on my blog, you will find “Add Cowboy’s Weblog”" in the list.

Best regards from Germany
